After renting in various cities around L.A., the opportunity to buy a condo was presented. It took over a year and I viewed more than 100 units before my first closing. Frankly, I was tired and just wanted to stop looking at property. So during May of 2010, I dove into owning L.A. real estate and purchased a Glendale condo with my wife. The property was not ideal, but met our immediate needs then. Over the course of time my family has grown and because of that initial purchase, we’ve been able to move into more comfortable accommodations. During our real estate journey, I’ve learned a little bit at a time, added a contact or two, and have moved closer to the home I’ve always dreamed of. Living in L.A. is exciting, as well as challenging. All of us experience the decisions of how far to live from work, getting into the right school district, options in shopping, and what is to be offered when there is free time. As your neighbor in the San Gabriel Valley, I want to share my experiences as a REALTOR, as well as a home buyer, seller, and property manager on how I’ve been able to grow my property portfolio, learning about home ownership along the way.
